Rotary Lime Kiln Project
1. Overview:
The lime rotary kiln production line constitutes an industrial system for calcining limestone to produce quicklime. Core equipment includes the rotary kiln, vertical preheater, and vertical cooler, with daily capacities ranging from 100 to 1200 tonnes. It finds extensive application in sectors such as steel smelting and alumina production.
2. Equipment Composition and Operating Principle:
Ø Vertical Preheater: Heats limestone from ambient temperature to 900°C, achieving 30%-40% decomposition. Recovers waste heat from kiln tail flue gas and processes fine-grained raw materials (10-50mm).
Ø Vertical Cooler: Rapidly cools calcined lime below 100°C while preheating secondary air above 700°C, reducing energy consumption.
Ø Auxiliary Systems: Pulverised coal preparation (vertical mill or ball mill), bag filter dust collection (emissions ≤30mg/m³), and DCS automated control for full-process monitoring.
3. Production Process Flow:
Ø Raw Material Pre-treatment: Limestone screened (10-50mm) is conveyed via belt to the preheater top hopper.
Ø Preheating & Decomposition: Within the preheater, material is heated to 900°C by 1150°C flue gas, decomposing 30% calcium carbonate. Hydraulic pushers feed material into the rotary kiln.
Ø High-Temperature Calcination: Material tumbles within the rotary kiln, forming CaO at 1100–1350°C over a residence time of 1–2 hours.
Ø Cooling and Discharge: High-temperature lime enters the cooler, where it is cooled by cold air before being conveyed to the finished product silo. Optional screening (5–40mm size fraction accounts for 90%).
4.Technical Parameters and Performance
Capacity Specifications:
Ø Small-scale line (Φ2.5×40m): Daily output 150 tonnes, effective volume 142m³.
Ø Medium-scale line (Φ3.2×50m): Daily output 300 tonnes, thermal consumption 5000–5300 kJ/kg CaO.
Ø Large Line (Φ4.8×68m): Daily capacity 1000 tonnes, combustion temperature 1350°C.
5. Energy Efficiency Indicators:
Ø Fuel: Pulverised coal/natural gas/industrial waste gas, thermal efficiency enhanced by 40%.
Ø Product Quality: CaO ≥93%, reactivity 340-400ml (4N-HCl method).
Ø Environmental characteristics: After baghouse filtration, particulate matter ≤30mg/m³, supports desulphurisation agent production.
